Chief Financial and Administrative Officer

As Chief Financial and Administrative Officer, Treasurer, and EVP of Transformation and International Operations, Peter brings more than 20 years of executive leadership in healthcare services and technology to his role at Cotiviti. He is responsible for Cotiviti's finance, legal, compliance, facilities, and strategic sourcing functions. He leads large-scale transformation projects across the enterprise, expanding the adoption of Lean Six Sigma and building a culture of continuous improvement and process excellence, managing global administrative functions and managing operational and technology teams in India that support North America businesses.

Prior to joining Cotiviti, he served as Chief Financial Officer and in other executive roles at several public and privately held companies, where he managed financial, technology, data informatics, compliance, client service, process improvement, and operational teams in corporate and divisional settings during periods of rapid revenue growth. Peter spent nearly 13 years with McKesson and has since led two publicly traded healthcare companies through transformational transactions with private equity firms as well as completing several major business turnarounds.

Peter earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Wisconsin at Madison and received his Certified Public Accountant certificate from the state of Illinois.

Richard Pozen, M.D.

Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Pozen is an expert in clinical coding and works extensively with Cotiviti's medical directors and clients. Dr. Pozen was a co-founder of iHealth Technologies, one of Cotiviti's original predecessors, and has extensive experience on both the payer and provider sides of healthcare.

After running a private practice for 14 years, he created Cardiology Network, Inc., to provide specialty management services to healthcare payers. He subsequently held leadership positions at Vivra Specialty Partners and Magellan Specialty Health.

Dr. Pozen earned his B.A. at the University of Chicago, went to medical school at Rutgers, did his internal medicine training at Montefiore Hospital in New York, and completed his cardiology fellowship at Georgetown University. Following that, he served on the cardiology faculty at the University of Miami.

Chris is responsible for driving Cotiviti's growth by leading its sales, marketing, product and government teams.

As a healthcare veteran with more than 25 years of industry experience, Chris has held senior-level leadership positions across a variety of market segments, including healthcare services, health insurance operations, and management consulting. He has held leadership positions at several payer, provider, and healthcare services companies, including Health Dialog, Cigna HealthCare, and Matria Healthcare (now Alere).

Chris earned a master's degree in health administration from The Ohio State University and a bachelor’s degree in zoology from Miami University.

Kerri is responsible for talent acquisition, training and development, employee relations, compensation, and benefits programs. She works closely with the finance, operations, and strategy teams to ensure alignment between employee initiatives and organizational goals and objectives.

Kerri brings more than 20 years of human resource experience in staffing, career development, training, and retention to Cotiviti. Prior to Cotiviti, she was Corporate Human Resources Manager at George Weston Bakeries, Inc. Kerri also served as employment manager for Langham Hotel in Boston, where she was responsible for the administration of all HR functions and health and safety programs.

Kerri earned a master's degree in human resources management from Emmanuel College and a bachelors in business administration from Bryant University.

Executive Vice President, Payment Integrity

Matthew leads operations and content development for Cotiviti's prospective payment integrity and fraud, waste, and abuse solutions.

With more than 30 years of healthcare experience and 16 years at Cotiviti, he has held roles with implementation teams, software development, and operating responsibility in the clinical claim validation and retrospective claims accuracy solution sets. Prior to Cotiviti, Matthew was the Senior Manager of Healthcare at Accenture, where he consulted and defined solutions for Blues Plans and other large national payers with their business challenges, as they sought to improve care and reduce administrative costs.

Matthew earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Oklahoma State University.

Joe is responsible for partnering with our clients to address their unique business needs and challenges, optimizing the value they realize from our solutions while ensuring overall satisfaction. He engages directly with clients and provides strategic direction for our client engagement, consulting advisory, and implementation teams to deliver the best possible results for our customers' success. Drawing on over twenty years of experience in healthcare, Joe serves as an advocate for our clients internally, thereby assuring their requirements are both understood and met by Cotiviti's teams.

Prior to joining Cotiviti in September 2016, Joe was the Vice President of Account Management for McKesson, where he spent the majority of his career. In this capacity he helped the retention of thousands of payer, government, provider, and hospital clients by building and managing a strong client-facing team. He also previously worked for the Massachusetts Department of Public Health where he was responsible for contract management, as well as developing and managing public policy initiatives.

Joe earned a master's degree in management of science from Antioch University New England and a bachelor's degree in communications from the University of Maine.

Senior Vice President, Finance

Jerron leads Cotiviti's investor relations team, overseeing coordination, reporting, and financial analysis related to Cotiviti's investors and board of directors. He leads the corporate financial planning and analysis and internal benchmarking teams, providing management reporting to drive critical insights and business decisions throughout the organization. In addition, Jerron oversees the treasury function, with reporting and compliance around debt and insurance risk management. He also leads project management efforts for M&A activities, helping to drive acquisition and integration efforts.

Throughout his career of more than 20 years, Jerron has provided organizational direction for key strategic, data-driven decisions to achieve stated goals and continued improvement, resulting in hundreds of millions of dollars in benefit, savings, and improvements. Before joining Cotiviti in 2012, he held senior finance, accounting, and consulting roles at Grant Thornton LLP and ENGIE North America, Inc.

Jerron holds a master's in accounting from the University of Utah David Eccles School of Business and a bachelor's in business management from Brigham Young University. He is a certified public accountant, certified information systems auditor, and certified fraud examiner.

Senior Vice President, Risk Adjustment, Population Health Management, and Quality

Chad is responsible for leadership and overall growth and performance of Cotiviti's risk adjustment, quality, network, clinical, and consumer engagement solutions. In this capacity, he is accelerating Cotiviti's technology enablement agenda to optimize outcomes focused on health plan success, member health, and provider performance. Chad is also responsible for retrieval operations serving Cotiviti’s Clinical Chart Validation and payment integrity businesses.

Prior to joining Cotiviti in 2021, Chad accumulated more than 15 years of experience in executive roles with several healthcare services organizations and health plans including UnitedHealth Group and Ciox Health. He most recently served as COO of Change Healthcare’s Government Services Division, leading a global operation delivering value to payers by improving risk adjustment data and score accuracy, quality ratings, and overall member health outcomes.

Chad earned bachelor's degrees in business management and human resource management from the University of Central Missouri and an M.B.A. in international business from Benedictine University.

Senior Vice President, General Counsel

Brett is responsible for managing Cotiviti's legal and compliance functions around the world and provides trusted counsel to senior management and the board of directors on all legal matters.

With Cotiviti since 2014, Brett has spent more than 25 years as an in-house corporate attorney providing counsel for large corporations and start-ups, both domestically and abroad. Notably, he served as general counsel to Richard Branson's Virgin Money US entity. Prior to that position, Brett served in various legal capacities for KPMG in the Netherlands and Bear Stearns in New York City.

Brett earned a J.D. from Brooklyn Law School where he was a Richardson Scholar and earned a bachelor's in business administration from Boston University.

Angelo is responsible for ensuring that Cotiviti's portfolio of products and solutions aligns with the needs of our customers and our overall growth strategy. His oversight includes evaluating new innovations and investments across all business lines while monitoring the general health and performance of the portfolio.

Before joining Cotiviti in 2018, Angelo worked for nThrive (formerly MedAssets), a leading revenue cycle management software and services organization, where he held several senior-level positions in corporate strategy, business development, technology, and operations.

Angelo spent the earlier part of his career in investment banking at Wachovia Securities in its mergers and acquisitions division. He earned a bachelor's degree in business administration and accounting from The Citadel.

Before joining Cotiviti, Cheri spent more than 20 years working with health plans, health systems, employers, and government agencies to improve their payment integrity, contract and policy compliance, talent acquisition, and care management practices.

Cheri holds a bachelor's degree from Georgia State University and an MBA from the University of Georgia Terry College of Business.

As a tenured member of our leadership team who has been with Cotiviti for more than 10 years, Naomi has valuable hands-on, day-to-day experience with Cotiviti's portfolio of clients.

A versatile operations leader, Naomi has a demonstrated track record of delivering operational excellence, leveraging predictive analytics, and accelerating growth. Prior to joining Cotiviti in 2013, she served as counsel for Liberty Mutual Insurance Company and several other large private firms.

Naomi holds a bachelor's degree from Union College and a J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.
