Joel Portice

President, Payment Accuracy Division

As the senior executive of Verisk Health, Joel Portice has led the company through its unprecedented growth and scope expansion.  In his role, Joel is responsible for the overall performance and strategic direction of Verisk Health.  Prior to assuming his current position, Joel was President and CEO of Intelimedix, a healthcare data analytics and software company, which was acquired by Blue Health Intelligence. Before leading Intelimedix, Joel served as COO at Verisk's HCI division, where he developed and executed the growth strategy, including product management, financial performance and product enhancements, while also leading overall operations with profit and loss oversight.

Before joining Verisk, he co-founded Enclarity, Inc. a healthcare information management and analytics solutions company, and managed the majority ownership sale to a private equity consortium.  Prior to launching Enclarity, he was VP of Healthcare and Insurance Analytics for Fair Isaac Corporation, where he led the growth and integration of the healthcare and insurance analytic assets for the company. Joel also co-founded Integrity Plus Services, a cost-containment software and services company that served the healthcare and insurance markets. IPS was acquired by UnitedHealth Group.

Joel received his bachelor of science degree from the University of South Dakota and a master of arts degree from Hamline University.  He is Trustee Emeritus for Hamline University and on the board of advisors for the Center for Health Care Management and Policy of the Paul Merage School of Business at the University of California, Irvine.
