CMS Risk Adjustment Model. Still time to correct PY 2011 Medicare Advantage data!

Cheri Rice, Director of the Medicare Plan Payment Group for CMS recently alerted Medicare Advantage Organizations to their obligation to report and return overpayments to CMS.

Currently, CMS is preparing to sample data submissions for the PY 2011 Contract-Level Risk Adjustment Data Validation (RADV). Rice's letter says that Medicare Advantage Organizations still have until 5-31-12 to delete diagnoses submitted in error and have that corrected data reflected in their final risk adjustment reconciliation.
