Nilesh, VP of Offshore Operations

After graduating from university in the Czech Republic and managing a small group of software engineers in my home country of Nepal, I was in need of a bigger arena in which to test my skills. I noticed that a subsidiary company of Verisk Health (then D2Hawkeye) in Nepal was growing rapidly, establishing a good reputation and quickly becoming a dream company for many IT professionals. For me, it was just the right thing at the right time.

It’s been a great experience, not only to work in such a rich corporate culture, but to be part of a company that engages in technically challenging projects, embraces exciting high-end technologies and adopts robust software development processes such as CMMI. In my role as a senior manager, it was particularly satisfying to establish a Professional Services division, and to provide opportunities for talented IT engineers in a country where opportunities and resources are limited.

At the beginning of 2008, Verisk Health gave me a chance to work in the U.S. headquarters office, which has been a rewarding experience. As a VP of Off-shore Operations, I coordinate technology projects among engineers in the U.S. and Nepal, keeping me engaged in the cutting edge of technology on a daily basis.

Since I started, Verisk Health has grown into a multinational company, and I have grown along with it – continually challenged and inspired by the work and the commitment to technical excellence
