As president of Verisk Health, Nadine Hays is responsible for the overall performance and strategic direction of the company. With nearly 25 years of experience in clinical informatics and healthcare IT, Nadine brings a wealth of expertise to the healthcare industry and Verisk Health. In her previous role at Verisk Health, Nadine was responsible for strategic alliances, sales, and marketing across the market segments served by Verisk Health and has been a key driver of the growth of the business.
During her industry tenure, Nadine has worked with leaders to introduce innovative solutions for managing the quality and cost of care. Prior to joining Verisk Health, she held executive-level roles at various healthcare and software companies, including McKesson and Ingenix.
Nadine is a licensed attorney, having practiced as a securities specialist for several years. Nadine has a BA from the University of California, Santa Barbara and a JD from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, CA.
As chief operating officer, Jordan focuses on delivering profitable growth through improved business processes, stronger data analytics, and team development. His main responsibilities include operations, finance, human resources, sales operations, and security and compliance. Jordan also participates in the development and preparation of short-term and long-range strategies, plans, and budgets based upon broad organizational goals and objectives. Jordan joined Verisk Health in 2009 and has held various leadership roles in his tenure, including overseeing post-merger integration, human resources, science and technology, finance, operations, and R&D.
Jordan has more than a decade of healthcare experience. Prior to joining Verisk Health, Jordan held positions in strategy and new product development at The Advisory Board Company, a healthcare consulting firm.
Jordan earned an MBA from Harvard University and an undergraduate degree from Duke University, where he previously served as a trustee.
In his role as chief strategy officer, Kevin Carpenter is responsible for defining and driving the Verisk Health business strategy. This includes analyzing industry, customer, technology, and competitive trends; and identifying and evaluating new strategic opportunities that align with Verisk Health’s business operations and growth initiatives.
Prior to his role as chief strategy officer at Verisk Health, Kevin spent three years at Verisk Analytics, where he served as vice president of corporate development and strategy. He was responsible for overseeing strategic planning and corporate development for Verisk Health, including the identification, evaluation, execution, and integration of acquisitions and partnerships. Prior to joining Verisk Analytics, Kevin was an investment banker at Citi, where he provided advisory services to healthcare information technology and data analytics companies.
He holds a BSBA from Georgetown University and an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University, Tepper School of Business.
David is responsible for brand, corporate communications and integrated marketing efforts across all of Verisk Health. As Chief Marketing Officer, David oversees the company's corporate positioning, branding and identity, marketing campaigns, public relations, demand generation, social media and field marketing programs to ensure strong connections, awareness and recognition in the market. As champion of the Verisk Health brand both internally and externally, David also directs internal communications, community relations, and corporate social responsibility efforts. Prior to assuming the role of CMO, David was the Vice President of Business Development for Verisk Health where he was responsible for identifying market/business development opportunities for Verisk Health across Payer, Provider and Public Health sectors.
Before Verisk Health, David was the Vice-President of Sales & Marketing for Bloodhound Technologies which Verisk Health acquired in 2011. At Bloodhound, David managed strategic sales, business development, and strategic partnerships to commercial and public-sector payers. David has a BA from the University of Georgia.
As executive vice president, account management, Jim focuses on building strategic client relationships and leading account teams across the Verisk Health book of business. A seasoned healthcare executive with 25 years of healthcare technology, managed care, and employee benefits experience, Jim brings expertise in building relationships, leading teams, and engaging clients in order to drive results and deliver value. In his previous role, he built and led our provider solutions sales team, meeting the analytics and reporting needs of this fast-growing market.
Prior to joining Verisk Health, Jim was senior vice president of sales and account management for NaviNet/Lumeris, the nation’s largest healthcare communications network. Prior to that, he was vice president of sales and account services for CVS Caremark, with P&L responsibility for its Blue Cross and Blue Shield unit. Earlier in his career, Jim was the healthcare lead for GE Industrial Systems and held senior roles in contract management and business development at UnitedHealthcare.
Jim holds an MBA in Health Care Management from Boston University and an undergraduate degree from the University of Rochester. He is also certified as a Six Sigma Green Belt.
In his role as Chief Growth Officer, Doug is responsible for leading sales and client services across Verisk Health. Doug brings more than 20 years of client services and sales experience within the healthcare industry, including 13 years at Verisk Health. With deep expertise in identifying the intersection between Verisk Health’s solution set and the unique business challenges facing clients, Doug leads a team focused on working closely with our clients and prospects to drive value. With an ear to the market and constant dialog with clients and prospects, Doug works closely with the senior leadership team to influence Verisk Health's product portfolio to ensure the delivery of actionable insights and meaningful results.
Prior to joining Verisk Health, Doug worked for Massachusetts General Hospital. Earlier in his career, he was a corporate banking analyst.
Doug holds a BA from Franklin and Marshall College.
At Verisk Health, Brian is responsible for leading the Revenue, Population Health, and Quality product teams, as well as the analytics teams. He is also responsible for overseeing the innovation and development of our next generation solutions to further support the move to value-based care.
Prior to joining Verisk Health, Brian was the senior vice president of population health and analytics at Caradigm, serving as the business owner for all tools and applications built on their intelligence platform. He also led the commercialization and partnership strategy for the population health management applications and analytic tools while transitioning the entire product portfolio from an on-premise business model to a cloud-based SaaS model. Brian also served as vice president of perioperative and critical care solutions for Picis, a subsidiary of Optum/United Health Group, where he demonstrated strong expertise in developing and marketing healthcare software. In this role, he oversaw all product planning, development, testing, and release management.
Brian received his BS from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and his MBA from Northeastern University.
David is responsible for leading analytic efforts in Verisk Health’s Revenue Integrity, Population Health, and Payment Accuracy domains, as well as operations business intelligence reporting. He works closely with the product, consulting, data operations, and client services teams to ensure that Verisk Health’s proprietary analytics help our clients meet their business objectives and remain relevant in the industry.
Prior to Verisk Health, David was the chief analytic officer at Press Ganey. He was responsible for building a set of analytic products that allowed hospitals and provider groups to enhance patient experience, solidify their reimbursements, and identify areas for process improvement and revenue enhancements. David also previously served as SVP of consumer segmentation and engagement strategies at Health Dialog, where he was responsible for building and implementing strategies that targeted, activated, and engaged members related to their specific health conditions.
David holds a BA in Business Administration and Sociology from Northern Michigan University and a MA/PhD in Sociology from the University of Delaware. He also served for four years in the United States Air Force.
Dr. Wheeler joined Verisk Health in 2011. He is responsible for leading the Clinician team with a focus on ensuring that our products and services support providers as they make the transition to competing on value. Dr. Wheeler is a practicing physician with 20 years of medical management experience. Dr. Wheeler has experience as a Certified Professional Coder and medical chart auditor. He has work experience with a major health plan in medical appeals, including coding and medical necessity appeals, and served as medical director of their SIU. He has extensive experience in healthcare software development.
Dr. Wheeler obtained his undergraduate degree at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver, Colorado, with a residency at Saint Anthony's in Denver. He has clinical and leadership experience in private practice with Kaiser Permanante in North Carolina and with Duke in Durham, North Carolina.
Jim is responsible for driving IT strategy and execution, as well as oversight of product development, architecture, and engineering. In addition, he helps guide Verisk Health’s IT and application activities, including client-focused applications, corporate applications, data curation, platform maintenance, technology QC, and Verisk Health’s next-generation population health platform.
Prior to joining Verisk Health, Jim served as chief technology officer at Express Scripts for 13 years, managing a team of 600 employees across the architecture, data warehouse, analytics, and middleware departments. In this capacity, he served as a colead on the integration of Medco into Express Scripts, integrating infrastructure, security, and the end-user computing environment.
Jim received his master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis and his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame.
